Ferocious and Funny

Return of the Mack was playing on a sun drenched summer day while the Chicago Bears were warming up to the music. I am not sure if that is where the good vibes began but it certainly revealed the looseness of the players on this team.

A week ago when Matt Nagy gathered his team together on Friday for an important announcement, one player shouted from the back: “Have we all just been traded for Khalil Mack?” Prince Amukamara: “It was awesome. I was cracking up.” Reported Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune.

We are seeing laughter on the sidelines all the time. Tarik Cohen, Benny Cunningham and Anthony Miller was caught on camera making their moves while laughing it up during this past Thursday's game against the Buffalo Bills. After that, Cohen was on camera and we witnessed Charles Leno photo bombing the television interview, bobbing his head up and down and in and out.

My fondest memories of the Chicago Bears are the ones that are ferocious or funny. Ferocious as a Wilbur Marshall hit on Detroit Lions quarterback Joe Ferguson. Yes the hit put Ferguson on his back and dazed. Knockout dazed. Funny would be the interception of Robert tractor Traylor when he was lugging the ball down the field and looking for someone to lateral it to.

With Mack on the roster of the Bears, we are going to see funny and ferocious make a come back. The team is loose and wants to hit. They are having fun like good teams in the past have had. Be certain that this team is relaxed and ready to uncoil.

I think that is what Charles Leno is singing and dancing about. Has their time arrived?
